Bank of America New Year’s Eve 5K Run/Walk
The Bank of America New Year’s Eve 5K Run/Walk takes place at Veterans Memorial Arena, 300 A Philip Randolph Blvd. The course starts and finishes on A. Philip Randolph Blvd. in front of the arena and runs downtown and back. The event benefits Gator Bowl Charities.
All participants receive an official race shirt and all finishers receive a custom designed medal. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall, first place masters male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups include 10 and under, 11-13, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.
Entry fees for the 5K are tiered: $35 through November 30, $40 December 1–27, $45 starting December 28, and $50 on race day. A $5 age discount is applied automatically for registrants 17 and under and 65 and over. There are no refunds.
Packet pickup is available at 1st Place Sports Baymeadows and San Marco on Tuesday, December 29 and Wednesday, December 30; unclaimed packets will be available at the race site on race day. Food and drink are available after the race, and one free 5 ounce beer is offered at a nearby brewery with a race bib. The event is part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix series.
