Acadia Half Marathon & 10K
The Acadia Half Marathon and 10K takes place on June 7, 2026, on Mount Desert Island in Maine. The event is organized by the Mount Desert Island YMCA as a fundraiser; entry fees support the YMCA’s scholarship programs that help individuals and families access local services and programs.
The courses run through Acadia National Park, using the park loop road and passing coastline, cliffs, and mountain scenery on Mount Desert Island. Walkers are permitted on the half marathon course and are encouraged to participate. Race maps are provided for both distances.
The half marathon is currently full and a waitlist has been created in case spots open. There are still entries available in the 10K.
No race day packet pickup will be offered. The organizers report six water stations on course and note that paper cups make up a large portion of event waste. For 2026 participants are asked to bring a reusable cup, handheld bottle, or hydration pack; paper cups will remain available at the six water stations as the event moves toward more sustainable practices.
