Runaway Racing Invitational 10K
The Runaway Racing Invitational is a 10 km trail running championship held at Wendover Woods on 6 December 2026. The course has over 295 m of ascent and follows trail terrain with steep climbs and long descents. The event base is Wendover Woods, Upper Icknield Way, Aston Clinton, HP22 5NQ.
Entry is restricted to runners who finish within the top 20% at Runaway Racing events in 2026, all age category winners, and event volunteers. The race is licensed by the Trail Running Association (license #8217) and held under UKA rules. The minimum age for entry is 16 and the field is capped at 200 runners.
The route is fully waymarked with orange arrow markers and ribbons, and marshals are positioned at key turning points. Chip timing with live results is used and a bag drop is provided. The surface is likely to be muddy so trail running shoes are recommended. Wendover train station is the closest station, approximately 2.5 km from the start.
General entry is listed at £22 (£20 UKA affiliated) with a later price tier shown as £26/£24 after 29 November 2026. The organiser’s withdrawal policy issues 90% credit for cancellations made more than four weeks before the race; credits are redeemable once and valid for 12 months.
