Henley River Running Festival
The Henley River race event takes place on 5th September 2026, situated along the Thames in Henley-on-Thames. The course begins and ends at Temple Island Meadows, utilizing Remenham Farm as a central location. Participants run on a mixed, undulating trail terrain that follows the riverside.
Available distances include:
- Half Marathon: A course consisting of one mini lap and two full laps with an elevation of 98m.
- 10k: A single lap course with an elevation gain of 46m.
- Junior Race: An out and back route designed for children under the age of 11.
The event features a well-serviced event village with various food and drink options. Marshals are positioned along the route to guide runners toward the finish line. Results are recorded using electronic chip timing, and participants receive free professional race photos following the event.
Every finisher is awarded a unique themed medal and post-race goodies provided by event partners. While race entries do not automatically include a shirt to manage event costs and sustainability, technical T-shirts featuring the event logo are available for separate purchase. The event focuses on environmental sustainability and utilizes a trail-based route designed for both personal achievements and general participation.
