Event overview
Leighton Fun Runners stage the 10k event in Pages Park, Billington Road, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 4TG, United Kingdom. Proceeds from the race are donated to the Club Charity. Entry fees are shown as £20 during the earlier registration period and £21 on the day; affiliated UKA/ARC club members receive a £2 discount. Numbers with timing chips are available for collection on the day from the Registration Desk in the Pavilion. Finishers receive a commemorative eco friendly medal.
Course and logistics
The route is mainly on paths, trails and parkland and crosses three main roads that will be marshalled. There is an out-and-back offroad section after about 3 km, accessed through a gate, and three gates on the route will be held open by marshalls. Runners should expect bollards, roots, kerbs, loose stones, mud and wooden bridges on the course. Parking is available next to race HQ, within about 200 m of the start.
Rules, safety and facilities
Only persons aged 17 years or above may participate. No earphones, iPods, MP3 players or bone conductors are permitted. Pushchairs, buggies, cycles and dogs are not allowed on the course except by prior permission. Numbers must be secured to the front of the vest with four safety pins and include emergency contact details on the back. There is no baggage area. Ample toilets and changing rooms are available.
