Event details
Leighton 10K 2026 is organised by Leighton Fun Runners and takes place in Leighton Buzzard on 06/09/2026. The race distance is 10 km. Entry is open to persons aged 17 years or above on the day. Runners affiliated to a UKA/ARC club qualify for a £2 discount. Race numbers with timing chips are issued on the day from the registration desk in the Pavilion. A commemorative eco friendly medal is available at the finish. Photographers will be on course and photos will be made available after the event. All proceeds will be donated to the club charity.
Course and logistics
The course runs mainly on paths, trails and parkland and crosses three main roads; crossings will be marshalled and runners must follow marshal instructions or face disqualification. There is an out-and-back offroad section after about 3 km and three gates on the route. Runners should be aware of bollards, roots, kerbs, loose stones, mud and wooden bridges that may be slippery. Earphones, bone conductors and similar devices are not permitted. Pushchairs, dogs and other wheeled vehicles are not allowed on the course without prior permission. There is no baggage area; parking is available next to race HQ and within 200 m of the start (postcode LU7 4TG). Toilets and changing rooms are provided. Results and finish times are published live and finish notifications are sent by SMS; official race timings are based on the start/finish clock. A completion cut-off time is applied for road safety.
