About the race
Bridge to Bridge is a 4 mile road and trail race linking Peoria and East Peoria. The course starts on the Rock Island Greenway Trail at RC Outfitters (311 SW Water St, Peoria), follows the Greenway and city streets onto the Bob Michel Bridge pedestrian path over the Illinois River, then continues on the Riverfront Trail past Bass Pro to a turnaround at a motel parking lot before retracing to the start/finish.
Water stops are located near the 1 and 3 mile markers, at the 2 mile turnaround, and at the start/finish line. Course features include sections on the Rock Island Greenway Trail, a bridge crossing over the Illinois River, a riverside trail that passes under I‑74, and a short segment on a service road near Bass Pro. Note that IDOT road work has previously required course changes.
Race packet pickup is available at RC Outfitters on the Saturday before the event and on race day. The 2026 race shirt is available through August 20. The post race celebration and awards take place at the CEFCU Center Stage near the Peoria Riverfront Museum and Caterpillar Visitor Center; hot food is provided by Olive Garden and a live band provides music.
Awards include overall awards for top male and top female by gun time, age group awards by net time, engraved trophies, and door raffle prizes with a total value over $1000.
