Strides for Justice : Peoria Heights, IL
Strides for Justice is the 19th annual community running and walking event held at Tower Park in Peoria Heights, Illinois. The event supports Prairie State Legal Services and aims to raise awareness about affordable legal representation for underserved groups, with all proceeds benefiting the Peoria office.
Event options include:
- 5K Run/Walk (Timed)
- 5K Walk (Untimed)
- 1 Mile Walk (Untimed)
Family pricing is available for families of four or more: a special rate of $120, with an early bird rate of $100 listed in the event information. The family discount applies to registrations completed together in the same transaction.
Packet pickup is offered the day before at RC Outfitters and on the event day at the race venue at Tower Park. The 5K course starts and finishes near the intersection of Grandview Drive and Prospect Road. Timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing.
Awards are presented for overall top male and top female by gun time, and age group awards are given by net time to the top three males and top three females in the following divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over. Age group double dipping is not allowed. An awards ceremony will take place after the race at Oliver's in the Heights. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
