Punk Panther Nidderdale Way

Punk Panther Nidderdale Way is a trail ultramarathon on the Nidderdale Way in North Yorkshire that passes locations such as Ripley Castle, Brimham Rocks, Scar House Reservoir and How Stean Gorge. The event is organised by Punk Panther Ultra Marathons and is set within an area of outstanding natural beauty.

There are four distance options with associated climb and qualification points: 13 miles (1700 ft climb, ITRA 1, UTMB Q20K), 20 miles (2800 ft climb, ITRA 1, UTMB Q20K), 32 miles (4700 ft climb, ITRA 2, UTMB Q50K) and 55 miles (7500 ft climb, ITRA 3, UTMB Q100K). Entry is restricted to those aged 18 or older. Maximum field size is 200 entrants.

All entrants receive a tracker supplied by the organisers; the tracker is switched on at registration, must be worn during the race and includes an emergency button. There are multiple checkpoints along the route, including Lofthouse (about 6.2 miles), Middlesmoor (about 15 miles), Wath (about 21 miles), Pateley Bridge (about 28 miles), Birstwith (about 38 miles) and Brimham Hall (about 49 miles). Each checkpoint provides basic food and drink and some dietary options.

A required minimum kit list is enforced and random kit checks take place on course; failure to carry required kit can result in disqualification. Registration is at Pateley Bridge Cricket Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
