One Foot in The Gargrave
One Foot in the Gargrave is a combined walk and run event organized by the West Yorkshire LDWA. The route starts and finishes at the Gargrave Village Hall in North Yorkshire. Participants follow a loop through the Malhamdale area, passing through several local points of interest including Kirkby Malham, Street Gate, Boss Moor, and Eshton.
The event offers a single distance for all participants:

The course is designed to be completed within a time limit of 9 hours. There is a specific cut-off point at the third checkpoint, located at 16.2 miles. Participants must reach this location by 3:00 pm to continue the event; those arriving after this time will be asked to retire.
Registration is limited to 200 participants. The event follows a strict policy regarding animals, and dogs are not allowed on the course due to the presence of livestock and agreements with local landowners. Parking is available at the village hall, with additional space located on Mark House Lane, less than a five-minute walk from the start.
