One Foot in the Gargrave

One Foot in the Gargrave is a 23 mile walk and run that starts at Gargrave Village Hall, West Street, Gargrave, Skipton, North Yorkshire BD23 3RD. The route passes through Malhamdale and visits Kirkby Malham, Street Gate, Boss Moor and Eshton. Grid reference SD931541 is provided for the event location.

The route has a target completion time of nine hours. There is a cut off at Checkpoint 3, located at 16.2 miles; anyone not through this checkpoint will be asked to retire.

Entries are open for a defined period in 2026 and are restricted to the first 200 entrants. Published entry fees are £12 for LDWA members and £20 for non members. If the maximum is not reached, entries on the day are priced at £17 for LDWA members and £25 for non members.

Car parking at the village hall is limited. Further parking is available on the left hand side of the road on Mark House Lane, just over the canal bridge, a walk of less than five minutes to the start. Marshals will be in place to assist and direct. Dogs are not permitted due to livestock and the organisers' relationship with local farmers.
