Event Overview
The Wetherby 10k is a 10-kilometre multi-terrain race organized by Wetherby Runners AC. The event takes place in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, with the Race HQ located at Wetherby Racecourse.
Course Details
The course is described as flat and consists of one lap. It is not suitable for wheelchairs, and accompanying dogs or cyclists are not allowed. Participants are reminded to adhere to the ‘Country Code’ on off-road sections. The event uses professional chip timing and has an entry limit of 1000 participants.
Event Features
The event is inclusive with no cut-off time and provides a tail runner. There are friendly marshals, a halfway water station, and distance markers along the course. All finishers receive a commemorative large mug. Results are posted on the club's website within 48 hours of the finish.
Facilities and Additional Activities
Facilities at the Race HQ include portaloo toilets (stocked with sanitary products), a large car park, and excellent medical cover. A charity cake stall serves hot and cold drinks. An accompanying Mini-Marathon, a 1.6-mile run, takes place earlier in the day with entry available on the day only and no minimum age.
Participation Rules
Participants must be 15 years of age or over. The use of headphones or earphones that cover or go in the ear is not permitted unless approved for medical reasons; bone-conducting headphones are allowed.
