The Southwest Vertical Challenge at AZ Snowbowl is a mountain trail race held at Snowbowl Fort Valley Lodge in Flagstaff, Arizona. The course follows single-track sections of the Arizona Trail (AZT) through the Coconino National Forest, opens to aspen meadows, and finishes with a final ascent up Upper Volcano to the gondola at a peak elevation of 11,500 ft. The route gains approximately 4,300 ft in elevation and covers about 11–12 miles.
The event is USATF Mountain, Ultra, and Trail sanctioned and includes a five-hour course cut off. Packet pick up is listed at AZ Snowbowl, 9300 N.
