Flagstaff Sky Peaks Weekend
Flagstaff Sky Peaks is a three day mountain running event at Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff, Arizona, held September 25–27, 2026. The program includes a short hill climb plus multiple trail races and fixed-time loop events. Courses reach approximately 11,500 ft in elevation.
The Friday Agassiz Hill Climb is a 1.4 mile ascent with about 2,047 feet of gain and finishes near the helipad above the Arizona Gondola; participants descend using the gondola. Saturday offers a range of distances, most of which begin with the Agassiz Loop that climbs toward the high point of the venue. The 5K follows a separate, lower loop through aspen trees. New for 2026 are fixed time events on the Agassiz Loop with 6 and 12 hour options.
Sunday features two mountain races, including a Mountain 20K that starts at Fort Valley Trailhead and climbs to the ski area before descending to Agassiz Lodge, and a Mountain 6K that starts and finishes at Agassiz Lodge and includes a descent down the ski runs. Trekking poles are allowed for all distances.
