The Agassiz Hill Climb is a steep ascent that finishes near the helipad above the gondola; runners descend by gondola after the climb. The Saturday ultramarathon routes start with the Agassiz Loop and continue onto singletrack, forest roads, and ski-area slopes, with aid stations and specified crew-accessible locations on longer courses. The fixed-time events use repeated laps of the Agassiz Loop, each lap accruing roughly 2,000 ft of elevation gain.
Logistics noted on site include drop bag locations at Agassiz Lodge for most races, limited crewing at some aid stations, pacer allowances on designated segments for certain distances, and that trekking poles are allowed and recommended for all distances.
