Army Ten-Miler

The Army Ten-Miler is an annual road race held each October in Washington, D.C., with the 2026 race scheduled for October 11 at the Pentagon. The event began in 1985 and is presented as both an in-person and a virtual edition. The primary distance is a ten mile road race (10 miles), and the program also includes a youth run and virtual challenges such as the Run 250 Miles For America Challenge.

The race aims to promote the Army, build esprit de corps, support Army fitness goals, and enhance community relations. All race proceeds benefit Soldier MWR programs. Event services and weekend activities include an expo with packet pickup and exhibitor information, a pasta dinner, team registration and management options, garment check policies, wave start and scoring procedures, and volunteer opportunities. Separate team amenities such as Hooah Tents are available for groups on race day.

General registration is presented by General Dynamics and is described as open to everyone. Results tracking and official race results are provided after the event. The Army Ten-Miler also supports satellite and shadow runs that extend participation beyond the main race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
