The event takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The location is 300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA, USA, specifically at the DoubleTree Hotel in Crystal City. The start time is in the evening.

Registration

Registration opens on December 1, 2025. Fees are tiered, starting at $35 from December 1 to February 9, then increasing to $40, $45, and finally $50 in the week of the race. A registration option for ages 12 and under costs $30. A virtual runner option is also available, with registration closing on August 24. Virtual participation includes a commemorative race shirt and a downloadable bib.

Race Categories

The event offers several participation categories: Virtual 5K, Open 5K, Fire 5K, Law Enforcement 5K, Military 5K, and Telecommunicators 5K.

Logistics

Packet pickup is available on September 4 at Road Runners Sports (1101 S Joyce St) and on race day at the DoubleTree Hotel's Commonwealth Room. Baggage drop is available at the hotel's Commonwealth Room. A clear bag provided at packet pickup must be used. Parking is limited; the closest Metro stations are Pentagon City and Pentagon. The course has a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Awards

Awards are presented in individual categories for Law Enforcement, Firefighter, Military, Public Safety Communications, Open, and 12 and Under, for both male and female participants. Team awards are also given for the same categories.

Additional Information

Strollers are allowed but must start at the back of the field. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Post-race festivities include light snacks, water, and non-alcoholic beverages.
