Arlington Police, Fire, Sheriff and ECC 9/11 Memorial 5K
The event is a community 5K memorial run in Arlington, Virginia on Saturday, September 5, 2026, held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Crystal City, 300 Army Navy Drive. It honors the bravery and sacrifice of first responders on September 11, 2001 and supports 9/11-related charities.
The event offers both in-person and virtual participation. Virtual registrations include a commemorative race shirt and a downloadable bib; virtual registration closes on August 24. The published registration fee tiers are: December 1 – February 9 $35 (Super Bowl Special); February 10 - June 30 $40; July 1 - August 29 $45; September 1 – Race Day $50; Ages 12 and under $30.
Packet pickup is available September 4 at Road Runners Sports, 1101 S Joyce St, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and on race day at the DoubleTree Hotel Commonwealth Room from 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM. Baggage drop is located in the Commonwealth Room from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; runners must use the clear bag provided at packet pickup and items are checked at the owner’s risk.
Awards are presented in multiple individual and team categories across law enforcement, firefighter, military, public safety communications, open, and 12 and under divisions, separated by male and female where listed. Post-race provisions include light snacks, water, non-alcoholic beverages provided by ARAMARK, food trucks, a family-friendly DJ, and an awards ceremony.
Strollers are allowed but must start at the back. Dogs are not permitted on the course. The course has a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes. Parking is limited; Metro stations recommended are Pentagon City and Pentagon on the Blue and Yellow Line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
