Arlington Police, Fire, Sheriff and ECC 9/11 Memorial 5K
The Arlington 9/11 Memorial 5K is an annual road race in Arlington, Virginia that honors first responders and supports 9/11 related charities. The 2026 edition takes place on September 5, 2026 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Crystal City, 300 Army Navy Drive, and invites runners, walkers, and community members to participate in person or virtually.
Registration opens on December 1, 2025. Entry fees vary by registration period: $35 through February 9, $40 through June 30, $45 through August 29, and $50 from September 1 through race day. Youth ages 12 and under register at a reduced fee of $30. The virtual option uses the same fee schedule and includes a commemorative race shirt and a downloadable bib; virtual registration closes on August 24.
Packet pickup is available September 4 at Road Runners Sports, 1101 S Joyce St, and on race day at the DoubleTree Hotel Commonwealth Room. Baggage drop is at the DoubleTree Commonwealth Room; runners should use the clear bag provided and note items are checked at the owner’s risk.
Awards are given across individual and team categories for law enforcement, firefighters, military, public safety communications, open divisions, and a 12 and under division. Post-race offerings include light snacks, water and non alcoholic beverages provided by ARAMARK, food trucks, a family friendly DJ, and an awards ceremony. Strollers may start at the back, dogs are not permitted, the course has a 1 hour 15 minute time limit, parking is limited, and Metro stations Pentagon City and Pentagon on the Blue and Yellow Lines are nearby.
