Kentlands/Lakelands 5K Run, Walk, and Kid’s Fun Runs
The event is the 33rd running of the Kentlands/Lakelands 5K Run, Walk, and Kid’s Fun Runs in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The main 5K is a USATF certified course that winds through the Kentlands and Lakelands neighborhoods and finishes down Main Street. The course features modest hills and two water stops, and live entertainment from local bands along the route.

- 5K USATF certified course through Kentlands and Lakelands
- 200 m Tot Trot for children 14 and under
- 500 m Kids Dash for children 14 and under
Every 5K registration includes a Dri-Fit crew neck race shirt available in men's, women's, and kid's sizes. Each kids Fun Run registration includes a cotton t-shirt designed by a local child resident. A post-race Merchant's Expo and a dedicated Kids area are part of the event experience.
The event concludes with an awards ceremony that includes team awards, cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers, and raffle items donated by local merchants. Registration fees listed for the events are $35.00 for the 5K and $17.00 for each kids run. The event supports the Kentlands Community Foundation and several local charities, including the City of Gaithersburg Dolores Swoyer Camp Scholarship Fund, Gaithersburg HELP, Mercy Health Clinic, and Maryland Senior Olympics.
