AdventHealth Cool Sommer Mornings Series - Mysterious Kraken
This event is the fourth stop in the 2026 Cool Sommer Mornings Triathlon-Duathlon-5K Series, held at Clermont Waterfront Park in Clermont, Florida on September 13, 2026. The series comprises four events conducted on the same course so participants can track progress across the season.
Events offered include:
- 5K Run 3.1 miles
- Sprint Triathlon and Relay: 440-yard swim, 8.2-mile bike, 5K run
- Sprint Duathlon: 1 mile run, 8.2-mile bike, 5K run
- Sprint Aquabike: 440-yard swim, 8.2-mile bike
- Sprint Aquathlon: 440-yard swim, 5K run
- Double formats repeating the swim-bike-run or run-bike-run sequences
Course details: the swim takes place in Lake Minneola on a rectangular course with a projected water temperature of 82–84°F; wetsuit use follows USAT rules. The bike course travels clockwise around Lake Minneola; the single-lap bike is roughly 8.2 miles and a two-lap bike equals about 16 miles. The run is an out-and-back on the South Lake Trail. The 2024 bike course no longer includes more than two miles in the residential area of Clermont.
Amenities and recognition include a themed finisher medal, event T-shirt, an accurately measured and monitored course, and age-group and overall awards for the various disciplines. Series bundle discounts are offered for signing up for multiple events: 4 events save 17%, 3 events save 13%, 2 events save 10%.
