AdventHealth Waterman Shades of Hope 5K
The AdventHealth Waterman Shades of Hope 5K is an annual community event held in Leesburg, Florida. The gathering serves to support individuals battling cancer, celebrate survivors, and honor the memory of those who have passed. - Virtual 5K: A 3.1 mile remote option for those unable to attend in person.
- Kid's Run: A 0.1 mile dash through the finish arch for children aged 6 and under.
The event recognizes the top three finishers in several categories for the in-person 5K. These sections include Senior Male and Female, Adult Male and Female, and Youth Male and Female for participants aged 17 and under. Every child participating in the Kid's Run receives a finisher's prize.
Funds raised through the event are utilized for patient assistance programs, screening tests, and wellness plans within the local community.
