Run the Resort 5K at Mission Resort + Club
The Run the Resort 5K takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Mission Resort + Club in Howey In The Hills, Florida (10400 County Road 48, 34737). The event offers an on-site 5K and a Virtual Run the Resort 5K. The in-person course runs through resort grounds and passes lakes, golf fairways, gardens, and historic architecture.
Race entry includes a custom finisher’s medal, an official race shirt, professional timing for the 5K, and post-race breakfast sandwiches and beverages. Packet pick-up is inside the Mission Resort and Club Golf Club House on Friday, September 4, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM; additional pick-up will be available on race morning by the start line and club house. Race day registration is available online until shortly before the event if the race is not sold out; there is no on-site paper registration.
Strollers are permitted and should start near the back of the field. Pets are not allowed on the course; service animals are permitted with advance notice. Awards recognize the top three male and female overall, first male and female masters, and the top three male and female in 10-year age groups starting with 19 and under through 70 and over.
The resort offers on-site restaurants, a pool, tennis and pickleball courts, a full-service spa, and golf; a special 5K runner rate is available for overnight stays. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
