About the race

The Run the Resort 5K takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. The course goes through resort grounds past lakes, golf fairways, gardens, and historic architecture. Race day registration is available online until 6:55 AM. Packet pick-up is available at the Mission Resort and Club Golf Club House on Friday, September 4th from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and on race day near the start line from 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM.

Strollers are welcome to start near the back of the pack. Pets are not permitted on the course, though service animals are allowed with advance notice. The entry includes a custom finisher’s medal, an official race shirt, professional timing, and post-race breakfast sandwiches and beverages. An awards ceremony for top finishers begins at 8:30 AM.

Participants are encouraged to book special runner rates for overnight stays at the resort, which offers amenities like on-site restaurants, a pool, tennis and pickleball courts, a spa, and golf. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
