Healthy Selfie 5K Your Way
Healthy Selfie 5K Your Way is a hybrid event offering both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option to mark the event's tenth year. The distance for each option is 3.1 miles. Registration is free; registration opens July 31, 2026. In-person registration closes September 12, 2026, and virtual registration closes September 30, 2026.
The virtual 5K runs from September 1 to September 30, 2026. Participants may complete 3.1 miles at any location and pace during that period. Examples noted by the organizer include biking the West Orange Trail, hiking at Oakland Nature Preserve, or rollerblading around a neighborhood. The organizer uses an honor system for completion and accepts finish photos from participants.
The in-person 5K takes place on September 12, 2026 at Orange Technical College West Campus, 2010 Ocoee Apopka Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761. All ages and mobility levels are welcome.
T-shirts for in-person participants will be distributed first come, first served at the in-person event on September 12, with specific sizes not guaranteed. Medals will be distributed at the in-person finish line. Virtual participants may pick up event shirts on October 1 at the Healthy West Orange Building, 1200 E Plant St, Winter Garden; sizes are limited and specific sizes are not guaranteed. New medals for virtual participants are not guaranteed; assorted past medals will be available at pickup.
A photo contest runs for finishes completed between September 1 and September 30, with entries due by September 17, 2026. Prizes include gift card packs or a one-year family YMCA membership and are limited to residents of these zip codes: 32703, 32710, 32808, 32810, 32818, 32819, 32821, 32830, 32835, 32836, 34734, 34740, 34760, 34761, 34786, 34787.
