Yorkshire 3 Peaks Trail Weekend
A weekend trail running trip based in Horton in Ribblesdale, Yorkshire Dales National Park, taking place 2-4 July 2027. Participants stay in the 3 Peaks Bunkroom, a bunkhouse with kitchen, parking and single sex rooms of up to six people, positioned on the route.
The main outing on Saturday is the Yorkshire Three Peaks route, a 24 mile (38.6 km) round trip with a total ascent of 1585 m. The route visits the summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. On Sunday there is an optional steady 10 km loop from the bunkhouse that includes Hull Pot and sections of the Pennine Way.
All runs are guided by a qualified trail running guide, mountain leader and coach. Guidance on trail technique, fuelling and pacing is provided throughout the weekend, and participants receive a complimentary training plan plus photo and video coverage. The organiser describes a social group pace and group navigation rather than a race format.
The organiser recommends that participants have completed a marathon or ultra within the previous six months and are able to run for prolonged periods at about 10 minutes per mile on flats and descents, owing to rugged terrain and significant elevation. Price listed is £260 per person for a single in a shared room, with a £100 non refundable deposit and the balance due ten weeks before the event. Instalment arrangements can be discussed after booking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
