Event overview

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks 70/100km Ultra takes place in North Yorkshire from Saturday 19th to Sunday 20th September 2026. This is the 11th edition of the event. The race starts and finishes at Hawes Market House and follows the Cam Road and the three peaks: Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent. Entries are limited to 120 and the minimum age is 20 or older. Entry fees listed are £68 (affiliated) and £70 (unaffiliated). Entry requires registering with SiEntries.

  • 100 km (70 km plus an optional +30 km section; the +30 km section adds +984 metres)

Course and support

The route runs on established limestone trails and classic North Yorkshire scenery. The event provides Ranger Safety Team support at HQ, road heads and hill top locations. On-course provisions include water, soft drinks, sweet and savoury snacks and hot soup at road heads. Navigation course notes and a GPX file are supplied to entered participants.

Facilities and rules

Indoor hall floor resting is available at Race HQ for finishing runners; participants should bring a sleeping mat and sleeping bag if required. Tea, coffee, hot food and breakfast are provided on return to HQ. Finishers receive medals and there are place categories, including fastest male and female and age categories. The organiser issues a minimum compulsory kit list and enforces kit checks. Runners may continue after completing 70 km and have up to 24 hours elapsed race time to complete the full 100 km for Grand Slam qualification.
