Yorkshire 3 Peaks 70/100km Ultra 2026
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Ultra returns for its 11th edition, offering a journey through the North Yorkshire scenery over classic limestone trails. The event is based at the Hawes Market House and follows the footsteps of Roman Legions along the Cam Road. Participants navigate a course that includes the peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough, and Pen-y-Ghent.
The event offers two distance options:
- 70 km (approx. 2185 metres of ascent)
- 100 km (approx. 3169 metres of total ascent)
The primary course is 70 km. Participants who reach the finish at Hawes within 14 hours of elapsed race time have the option to continue onto an additional 30 km loop for free. This extension crosses Great Shunner Fell to Thwaite and returns to Hawes, bringing the total distance to 100 km. The event features generous cut-off times, with up to 24 hours allowed to complete the full distance for a Grand Slam qualifying time.
Support is provided throughout the course by safety teams at road heads and hilltops. Refreshment stations at road heads offer water, soft drinks, and snacks. At the finish in Hawes, participants receive hot food and drinks, with breakfast served on Sunday morning. Indoor hall floor space is available at the headquarters on Saturday night for runners who wish to rest. The event has a registration limit of 120 participants and requires a specific list of compulsory safety kit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
