Yorkshire 3 Peaks 70/100km Ultra 2026
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Ultra is the original ultra-distance event that follows classic limestone trails in North Yorkshire. The 2026 edition is the 11th running and is organised by Rangers Expeditions & Ultras. The course visits the three peaks Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent and follows sections of the Cam Road.
Distances:
- 70 km with total ascent 2185 metres.
- 100 km option: complete the 70 km then continue for an additional 30 km with +984 metres ascent.
Support and services include Ranger Safety Team presence at HQ, road heads and hill top locations; on-course water and snack stops with hot soup; emailed course notes and a GPX file for entrants; indoor hall floor resting space on Saturday night; and hot food and breakfast at HQ for returning racers. Finishers receive eco-coaster medals and placings are awarded by gender and age categories.
Entries are limited to 120 and the event has a minimum age of 20. Entry fees are listed as £68 affiliated and £70 unaffiliated. A compulsory minimum kit list is enforced; required items include a backpack, waterproof jacket, warm layers, appropriate mountain footwear, paper OS map and baseplate compass (mobile app or watch compass is not acceptable), head torch with spare power, whistle, emergency bivvy and sufficient food and fluids.
