The Yorkshire 3 Peaks 70/100km Ultra 2026 is scheduled for Saturday 19th to Sunday 20th September 2026. It is organised by Rangers Expeditions & Ultras and is the 11th edition of this ultra-distance event. Entries open on 15 September 2025 and close on 11 September 2026. Minimum entry age is 20. Entries are limited to 120. Entry fees listed are £68 (affiliated) and £70 (unaffiliated).
Course and support
The route starts and finishes at Hawes Market House and follows the Cam Road and the Yorkshire three peaks: Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent, then returns along the Cam Road. The main course distance is 70 km with a total ascent of 2185 metres. There is an optional additional section of about +30 km adding approximately +984 metres ascent to make 100 km in total. The course runs on established limestone trails through North Yorkshire scenery. Ranger Safety Team support is provided at HQ, road heads and hill top locations. On-course provisions include water, soft drinks, snacks and hot soup at stops. Course notes and a GPX file are emailed to entrants.
Entry, kit and facilities
Race registration and kit checks take place at HQ in Hawes before the event. Indoor hall floor resting is available for finishing racers; racers are asked to bring sleeping mat and sleeping bag if required. Finishers receive a medal and there are place categories by gender and age. A compulsory minimum kit list includes a waterproof jacket, insulating layers, appropriate footwear, paper map, baseplate compass, head torch with spare power, whistle, emergency bivvy, first aid kit and a fully charged mobile phone.
