Yorkshire 3 Peaks 70/100km Ultra 2026
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Ultra is an organized trail running event in North Yorkshire with start and finish at Hawes Market House. The route follows the Cam Road and takes in the three peaks Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent over classic limestone trails.
Distances and elevation:
- 70 km - 2185 metres total ascent
- 100 km - 70 km plus an additional +30 km section, adding +984 metres ascent
Runners who complete the main 70 km within the event cut-off may continue onto the additional +30 km section at no extra cost, making a 100 km total. The event has a 24 hour race time limit for completion and the 100 km option counts towards the Ranger Ultras Grand Slam series. Entries are limited to 120, minimum age is 20, and entry fees are listed for affiliated and unaffiliated participants.
Support and services include Ranger Safety Team presence at HQ, road heads and hill top locations, on-course water stops with snacks and hot soup, indoor hall floor resting for Saturday night finishers, evening food for returning racers and breakfast on the following morning. Course notes and a GPX file are supplied to entrants.
A compulsory minimum kit list is enforced and includes a backpack, waterproof jacket with hood, warm layers, appropriate mountain footwear, paper Ordnance Survey type maps and a baseplate navigation compass, head torch with spare batteries, whistle, emergency bivvy, sufficient food and fluids, first aid kit and a fully charged mobile phone with a standard UK SIM.
