Event overview

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks 70/100km Ultra is scheduled for Saturday 19th to Sunday 20th September 2026 in the Hawes area of North Yorkshire. The event is organised by Rangers Expeditions & Ultras. Entries are limited to 120 and the minimum age is 20 on the event date. Entry fees listed are £68 (affiliated) and £70 (unaffiliated). Entries open 15 September 2025 and close 11 September 2026.

Race format, route and support

The route starts and finishes at Hawes Market House and follows the Cam Road to the three peaks: Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent, returning along the Cam Road. Distances offered:

  • 70 km - total ascent 2185 metres
  • 100 km - 70 km plus an additional 30 km section, adding about +984 metres ascent

The event is run on established trails. Organiser support includes the Ranger Safety Team at HQ, road heads and hilltop locations. Water, soft drinks and sweet and savoury snacks are provided at road heads. Course notes and a GPX file are provided to entrants. Indoor hall floor resting is available on Saturday night for finishing racers; breakfast and hot food are provided at HQ on Sunday morning. Finishers receive medals and there are place categories and age-group prizes for fastest racers. Mandatory kit and safety requirements are listed for all competitors.
