YMCA Marine Chevy Shuffle 5K : event overview
The New River YMCA organizes the YMCA Marine Chevy Shuffle, a 5K road race held at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center, 100 Recreation Lane, Jacksonville, NC 28546. The course is USATF certified. The event is part of the JOSC Race Series and benefits Girls on the Run and STRIDE. Race timing is provided by Run The East, LLC. Sponsors include Marine Chevrolet, Fleet Feet, and other local partners.
Entry, awards and logistics
The entry fee is listed as $30. Finisher medals are included and race shirts are available for an additional cost. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in age groups 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Packet pickup is offered at Marine Chevrolet (1408 Western Blvd) and Eggs Up Grill (2457 Gum Branch Road), with packet pickup also available at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center on race weekend for pre-registered participants.
