Onslow Community Outreach-Moore Buick GMC Turkey Trot 2026
This community running event takes place on Thanksgiving Day at 100 Recreation Lane, Jacksonville, NC. Proceeds support Onslow Christmas Cheer. The event includes in-person and virtual options; in the case of extreme weather and cancellation, registered participants are moved to the virtual option.
Distances offered include:
- OCO Turkey Trot 5K"ish" - roughly 3.1 miles; course is not certified and may run a little long.
- OCO Giblet 1 Miler - 1 mile run.
- Extra Servings Challenge - complete both distances and earn three medals.
The event is rain or shine. Registration fees listed by event are $25.00 for the 5K"ish", $15.00 for the Giblet 1 Miler, and $35.00 for the Extra Servings Challenge. Packet pickup is available at Onslow Community Outreach and at Jacksonville Commons. A games area will be open on race day.
Awards include overall first place male and female finishers and 5K-only medals for first place in designated age groups. Extra Servings Challenge finishers receive three medals: one for the 1 Miler, one for the 5K, and a challenger medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
