Registration for the events opens on February 1, 2026. Listed entry fees are $25 for the 5K, $15 for the 1-Miler, and $30 for the virtual 5K.
Race logistics, awards and charity
Packet pickup is available the day before at Onslow Community Outreach (1210 Hargett St.) and on race day at Jacksonville Commons (100 Recreation Circle). Animals on course must be leashed and runners with pets or strollers will start at the back of the field. Strollers are permitted; only registered participants wearing an official bib receive finisher medals.
Every registered finisher of the 5K and 1-Miler receives a finisher medal. Age group winners in the 5K receive a $20 Fleet Feet gift certificate; overall 5K winners receive a $100 Fleet Feet gift certificate. The 5K age groups include: 9 & Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
Proceeds support the Onslow Christmas Cheer program, which provides holiday meals and gifts to families in need. A toy drive aims to collect 200 new, unwrapped toys for distribution through the program. Virtual participants receive a bib and finisher medal by mail and may complete the distance any time during November on the honor system.
