YMCA Maple Leaf Walk Run
The 27th annual YMCA Maple Leaf Walk Run takes place in La Crosse, Wisconsin. This community event supports the local YMCA Food Program. The courses start and finish at Riverside Park, taking participants through specific sections of the Oktoberfest parade route.
Registration is open for several distances to accommodate different participants:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 5 Mile run
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Kids Maple Mile
- Virtual options for the Half Marathon, 5 Mile, and 5K
The organizers enforce a strict time limit for the in-person events. Due to the scheduled start of the local parade, the course officially closes at 9:45 am. For those participating in the Half Marathon, this results in a mandatory 2 hour and 45 minute time cutoff.
Participants receive a sweet treat upon completion of their events. The race serves as a supporting event for local charitable initiatives while utilizing the scenic park atmosphere and festive city streets.
