Yellow Brick Road 5K Fun Run | October 3, 2026
The Yellow Brick Road 5K Fun Run is a family friendly, self timed run and walk held at Lake in the Hills Sunset Park. Participants follow a yellow brick path around the park and lake toward a themed finish area called Emerald City. The route uses the scenic park paths and includes themed photo opportunities, music, and other on-course surprises.
The event is presented as part of the There's No Place Like LITH series. Entry fee is listed at $20.00 with an additional $5.00 for non residents. Every participant who registers in advance receives a race shirt and a wristband for entry to the Emerald City Community Party that takes place after the run. Post event activities include refreshments, awards for best costumes, and additional community activities in the Emerald City Community Party.
