Yellow Brick Road 5K Fun Run

The Yellow Brick Road 5K Fun Run is a community sports event held in Lake in the Hills. Participants follow a path around Sunset Park in a course themed after the Wizard of Oz. This event is a self-timed fun run and walk that utilizes the scenic paths within the park grounds.

Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, as awards are presented for the best outfits following the activity.

Each individual who pre-registers for the event receives a commemorative race shirt. Registration also includes a wristband for entry into the Emerald City Community Party, which takes place after the run. This post-race gathering includes refreshments and additional activities.
