Panting Four Paws : Crystal Lake, IL
Panting Four Paws is a community running and walking event held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Lippold Park in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The event marks the 20th edition and raises funds for Helping Paws Animal Shelter, with proceeds directed toward Phase 2 renovations of the shelter facility.
The event offers multiple course options:
- 5K
- 10K
- 1 Mile
The 5K course is one loop around a marked course that starts and finishes by the playground at Lippold Park; the 10K consists of two laps of the same route. Race day registration and packet pick up occur at Lippold Park, and pre-race packet pick up is held the day before at The Running Depot in Crystal Lake. A guarantee for race shirt size applies to registrations completed by September 13, 2026; the 1 Mile registration does not include a race shirt.
Age group awards are presented after the last finisher and include overall male and female winners plus first, second, and third places in age divisions ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over.
