Panting Four Paws
Panting Four Paws celebrates its 20th anniversary on October 3, 2026 at Lippold Park in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The event includes running and walking distances and raises funds for Helping Paws Animal Shelter.
Distances:
- 5K run/walk
- 10K run
- 1 Mile walk
The course starts and finishes by the playground at Lippold Park. The 5K follows one loop of the course and the 10K follows two loops. Post race food and refreshments are available after participants finish.
Pre race packet pick up is scheduled for October 2 at The Running Depot, 30 N. Williams Street, Crystal Lake. Race day packet pick up and registration are held at Lippold Park. To be guaranteed a race shirt and size, registration must be completed by September 13, 2026; the 1 Mile registration does not include a shirt.
All proceeds benefit Helping Paws Animal Shelter. Helping Paws is a private non profit 501(c)(3) organization that cares for more than 800 animals annually and is raising funds for Phase 2 renovations to improve its facility.
5K and 10K awards include overall male and female placements and first through third place in age groups. Age groups include 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70 & over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
