Long Grove's Oktoberfest Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
Long Grove’s Oktoberfest Half Marathon, 10K and 5K takes place in Long Grove, Illinois on October 3, 2026, with start and finish at Brothers’ Field in Historic Downtown Long Grove. The course runs through downtown Long Grove and surrounding neighborhoods and is almost entirely on paved streets.

The event is chip timed. Finisher medals are awarded for the half marathon and 10K; a 5K finisher medal is available as an add on. Winner medals are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups start at 10 and under and extend through 70 plus.
An Oktoberfest after party at Brothers’ Field features brats and one complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over. Event gear options include short sleeve or a long sleeve upgrade for an additional fee. Packet pickup options include mailed packets for a fee, a Friday pre race pickup location at Broken Earth Winery, or event morning pickup.
Additional event services include live participant tracking via a mobile app, water stations with water and sports drink on the half marathon course, a gear check using clear bags, and volunteer roles with a free event shirt for volunteers.
