Long Grove's Oktoberfest Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
Long Grove’s Oktoberfest event offers chip-timed road races in Long Grove, Illinois on October 3, 2026. The event includes multiple distances running through downtown Long Grove and surrounding neighborhoods, with much of the course on paved streets and a section under a historic covered bridge. The half marathon and 10K courses are USATF certified (IL16094NM and IL16097NM).

Event services include multiple water stations; half marathon stations provide water and sports drink. Participant gear options include a short sleeve shirt or an optional long sleeve upgrade for an additional fee. Packet pickup options include mailing for a fee, pre-event pickup details posted before race day, or event-morning pickup with an expected short wait. If gear is not picked up, there is a fee to have it mailed later.
Awards include finisher medals for the half marathon and 10K, an add-on option for a 5K finisher medal, and winner medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall in chip-timed categories. Age groups start at 10 & Under and extend through 70+. Pacers will be available at a range of target paces. The event also features an Oktoberfest finish-line celebration at Brothers’ Field with brats and a complimentary beer for participants aged 21 or over.
