Wrexham 10K
The Wrexham 10K takes place on Sunday 25th April 2027 and starts and finishes on Queen Street in the centre of Wrexham. The route combines town centre roads with a countryside section, featuring mainly fast sections and some small inclines, and offers pavement coverage along much of the course.
Roads are fully closed for the race to protect runners and volunteers. Marshals will be in place and spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed. Spectators are advised that the best viewing is at the start and finish on Queen Street. Residents should note road closures and move vehicles before closures begin if they need to leave during the event.
Parking is available in multiple town centre car parks, with parking a short walk from the start and finish area. The event provides music and a help desk at the start and finish location.
There is a race cut off of 90 minute and roads will re open in line with this pace. Runners who fall behind the required pace may be asked to withdraw for safety reasons.
The organisers plan one water station around the midpoint of the course and additional water at the start and finish; runners are encouraged to bring a suitable bottle. On completion, participants receive a finishers medal and event goodies. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers and to seven age groups for both men and women.
