Wrexham 10K run
The Wrexham 10K is a community running event with the race headquarters, start and finish located on Queen Street in the centre of Wrexham. The course combines central town roads with a countryside section, offering a mix of faster sections and small inclines and featuring views along the lanes.
The event has a 90 minute cutoff time for the 10K distance. Roads are fully closed during the race for safety; closures are limited in time and residents should plan for restricted vehicle access if they live on the route. Parking is available in multiple town centre car parks within a short, approximately five minute, walk of the start and finish.
Facilities on race day include at least one water station around the halfway point and water provision at the start and finish areas. Participants receive a finishers medal and event goodies after completing the run. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers, plus seven age group awards for each gender. The minimum age for participants is 15 years old.
A help desk and music will be present near the start and finish area to assist participants and create an event atmosphere. Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed and to use pavements where available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
