Winter Wirral Ultra

The Winter Wirral Ultra is a 37-mile circular ultra-distance event starting and finishing at Hooton Memorial Hall on the Wirral Way. Featuring just 812 feet of elevation, it is one of the flattest ultras, making it suitable for both road and trail runners as well as walkers within a 12-hour cutoff. The first 12 miles follow a disused railway path, transitioning to scenic coastal trails along the well-signposted Wirral Circular route, with some self-navigation required.

The course includes four checkpoints providing water and snacks. Participants receive a finisher’s medal, t-shirt, refreshments, and a GPS tracker for live tracking. The event is limited to 300 entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
