Event details
The CBTE Winter Wirral Ultra is scheduled for 14 November 2026 and starts and finishes at Hooton Memorial Hall, Waterworks Lane, Hooton, Wirral, CH66 7NL. The event is limited to 430 participants and has a minimum age of 20 on the event date. Entries open 16 October 2025 and close 24 October 2026. Course and support
The route is a circular course of 36 miles with about 812 ft of total ascent. It follows the well sign-posted Wirral Circular Trail in an anticlockwise direction, takes in the Wirral Peninsula coast, and follows the Wirral Way for the final 12 miles. The event is partially self-navigational and organisers add additional signage. There are five checkpoints on the route providing water and snacks. A 12 hour cutoff applies.

Entry includes a finishers medal, drinks and snacks on the day, and a GPS tracker for Open Tracking. An optional finishers t-shirt is available for £10.
