The CBTE Winter Wirral Ultra is a 36 miles circular ultra run on Saturday 14 November 2026. The event is limited to 430 participants and has a minimum age of 20 on the event date. Course and services
The route starts and finishes at Hooton Memorial Hall and follows the Wirral Circular Trail in an anticlockwise direction, with the final 12 miles on the Wirral Way. The course is partially self-navigational and includes hard terrain that may not suit runners who only run technical trails. The published elevation is 812 ft over the full route. There is a 12 hour cutoff, making walking possible within the time limit.
There are five checkpoints offering water and snacks. The entry fee includes a finisher medal, drinks and snacks, and a GPS tracker for Open Tracking. An optional finisher t-shirt is available for £10. Trophies are awarded for 1st male, female and non-binary, and 1st male and female in the 50, 60 and 70 age categories.
