Winter Wirral Ultra
The Winter Wirral Ultra is a 36 miles circular event on Saturday 14 November 2026 that starts and finishes at Hooton Memorial Hall, CH66 7NL. The route follows the Wirral Circular trail in an anticlockwise direction, takes in sections of the peninsula coast and finishes by following the Wirral Way for the final 12 miles. Elevation on the course is approximately 821 ft and the route is described as largely flat with mixed terrain and many hard surfaces; it is partially self navigational and uses the well signposted Wirral Circular with additional waymarking.
The event is fully tracked and each entry receives a GPS tracker. There are five marshaled checkpoints providing water plus soft drinks and a range of snacks including baked goods, fruit, sweets, pretzels and peanuts. First aid is available on the day and tail runners will support progress toward the finish. The organiser allows a 12 hour cutoff to complete the course.
Entry details include a standard fee of £64 or £62 for affiliates, a finishers medal, drinks and snacks, and the option to add a finisher t shirt for £10. There is an option to plant a tree with Trees Not Tees. Entrants must be 20 or older. Transfers and limited deferrals are allowed under the published booking policy. Race permit ARC/24/0668.
