Workington 5K Series Race 4
Workington 5K Series Race 4 is the fourth event in the Workington Summer 5K Series, held at Workington Cricket Club, Earnest Valentine Ground, The Cloffocks, Workington, Great Britain. The event uses an officially measured and certified accurate course by the Association of UK Course Measurers; the course for this race is ROUTE B.
The series comprises four separate 5 km races on the following dates: Wednesday 13 May, Wednesday 10 June, Wednesday 22 July, and Wednesday 19 August. Entries can be submitted for a single race or for all four races in the series. This particular race is listed as sold out with no remaining places.
Race administration takes place at the cricket club where race numbers will be issued at registration. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be displayed at the event headquarters in line with UKA rules; the permit number is to be announced. A race safety briefing will be held prior to the start. First aid provision will be provided by 1st Aid Associates. A lead bike and a sweeper runner will support participants on the course.
Individual race prizes will be awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers. Series points are allocated to all runners and overall prizes in five year veteran age categories are presented at the end of the series; runners must complete three of the four races to qualify for overall series prizes.
