Workington 5K Series Race 4
Workington 5K Series Race 4 takes place on Wednesday 19 August 2026 at Workington Cricket Club, Earnest Valentine Ground, The Cloffocks, Workington, Great Britain. The event is the fourth race in the Workington Summer 5K Series.
The series comprises four 5 km races on these dates: Wednesday 13 May, Wednesday 10 June, Wednesday 22 July, and Wednesday 19 August. Entrants may enter one, several, or all four races.
The course is an officially measured and certified 5 km course by the Association of UK Course Measurers and will follow Route B. Registration and race number collection take place within the cricket club. There is no parking at the cricket club itself.
A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be on display at event headquarters. A race safety briefing takes place before the start. First aid provision will be supplied by 1st Aid Associates. There will be a lead bike and a sweeper runner.
Prizes are awarded after each race to the first three male and female finishers. Series points are allocated to all runners and prizes will be presented at the end of the series in five year veteran age categories. Runners must complete three of the four races to qualify for overall series prizes. Results are provided by Timing Up North using chip timing.
Entry fee per race is £10.50 plus a fee of £0.50 and 5 percent. Registration closes 17 August 2026 and 24 places remained available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
