Workington 5K Series Race 4
Workington 5K Series Race 4 is a 5 km road race held at Workington Cricket Club, Earnest Valentine Ground, The Cloffocks, Workington on 19 August 2026. It is the fourth race in a four-event summer series, with the series dates on 13 May, 10 June, 22 July and 19 August. Participants may enter one, some, or all four races in the series.
The course is officially measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers and will use ROUTE B. Race numbers are issued at on-site registration, which takes place within the cricket club. A full course risk assessment, route maps, the race permit and the measurement certificate will be available at the event headquarters in accordance with UKA rules (Permit No TBA).
A safety briefing will be held before the start. First aid provision will be on site, and the event will include a lead bike and a sweeper runner. Results will be produced by Timing Up North using chip timing.
Prizes are awarded after each individual race to the first, second and third male and female finishers. Series points are allocated to all runners; prizes for overall series finishers are presented by five-year veteran age categories. Runners must complete three of the four races to qualify for overall series prizes.
