Scafell Pike Trail Marathon : Keswick, Cumbria
The Scafell Pike Trail Marathon takes place on Sunday 23rd August 2026 around Borrowdale and over Scafell Pike. The route covers 44 Kilometres on trail terrain with a hilly profile and is run as a single lap. The race starts at Lingholm and registration and the finish are at Crow Park, Lake Road, Keswick.
The course is marked from the start to Seathwaite. The mountain section between Seathwaite, Styhead, Scafell Pike, Esk Hause and back to Seathwaite is unmarked; although it follows main trails, navigation ability is essential on this section. Navigational devices are permitted and a GPX file of the route will be available. Participants are advised to carry suitable clothing, footwear, personal nutrition and drinks for the full route.
Entry is limited to 100 places. Affiliated entry and unaffiliated entry fees are listed as £52.00 and £54.00 respectively, with on the day entry available for an additional £3.00 if the event has not sold out. Competitors must be aged 18 or older on race day. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to first place in each age group. Every competitor receives a bespoke medal and event photographs will be available to download.
