Borrowdale Trail Half Marathon
The Borrowdale Trail Half Marathon is a single‑lap trail race of 21 km around Derwentwater and the surrounding fells near Keswick, Cumbria. The course is marked and classified as trail terrain with a hilly profile. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is licensed by the Trail Running Association, with the licence number pending.
Entry is limited to 200 competitors. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs. Competitors receive a bespoke medal and event photographs will be available to download. Prizes are awarded to the first three finishers in the male and female categories and to first place in each age group category. Entrants must be at least 17 years old on race day.
Race headquarters and finish are at Crow Park, Lake Road, Keswick CA12 5DJ. Onsite facilities include water, toilets and baggage storage; there are no distance markers, no changing facilities and no showers. A mobile coffee van will be on site selling hot and cold drinks and cakes. Entry fees shown include race fees and administration charges, with different rates for affiliated and unaffiliated entries and a small additional fee for on‑the‑day entry if places remain available.
