Event details
The Borrowdale Trail Half Marathon is scheduled for 23 August 2026 in Keswick, Cumbria. The race distance is 21 Kilometres. The course is a single lap of trail terrain with a hilly profile. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and has a Trail Running Association licence pending. Competitors must be aged 17 or older on race day.
Course and facilities
The route runs on the shores of Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. The start is at Lingholm and registration and the finish are at Crow Park, Lake Road, Keswick. The event is waymarked so no navigation is required. Facilities at race headquarters include water stations, toilets and a baggage store. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities and no showers. A mobile coffee van will be on site selling drinks and cakes. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Entry and prizes
Entry is limited to 100 places; 100 places were shown as remaining. Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £32.00 and Unaffiliated £34.00. If the event does not sell out, entry on the day is available for an additional £3.00. A bespoke medal is provided for every competitor and event photographs will be available to download. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to first place in each age group. The organiser is Fellside Events Ltd.
