Borrowdale Trail Half Marathon
The Borrowdale Trail Half Marathon is a trail race held in Keswick, Cumbria, on a 21 kilometre course around Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. The route is waymarked and runs as a single lap with a hilly profile. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules; the TRA licence number is listed as 8625 pending.
Entry is limited to 200 runners and the listing shows remaining places at the time of publication. Entrants must be at least 17 years old on race day. Affiliated and unaffiliated entry fees are published, with an additional surcharge noted for entry on the day if places remain.
Race facilities at the event headquarters, Crow Park on Lake Road in Keswick, include water stations, toilets and baggage storage. There are no distance markers on course, and there are no changing facilities or showers. A mobile coffee van will be on site selling hot and cold drinks and cakes.
Every competitor receives a bespoke medal and event photographs will be available to download after the race. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers and to first place in each age group category. The event is organised by Fellside Events Ltd.
