The route is 6.3 km (3.9 miles) with 882 m (2894 ft) of climb. Start and finish are at the stile above the White Horse (NY343270). Intermediate controls are at Cairn (NY335291), Sheepfold (NY332286), Path at bottom of Sharp Edge (NY329284) and Path junction top of Doddick Fell (NY32978). Limited parking is available at the pub; a lay-by on the A66 is suggested for additional parking.
