Event Overview

The Winter Weavers' Ultras take place on the Weavers' Way trail. The race finishes at Cromer Pier. Two distances are offered: a 50km race starting in Stalham and a 100km race starting in Great Yarmouth. The event date is 14 November 2026.

Course and Format

Both routes follow the Weavers' Way to the finish. Runners must be able to navigate using a provided GPX file, as course signage is limited. The terrain consists of trails. The event is held in winter, with the potential for wet and muddy conditions.

A time limit is strictly enforced for each distance: 10 hours for the 50km race and 19 hours for the 100km race. The 50km race starts at 09:30 from Stalham. The 100km race starts at 07:30 from Great Yarmouth (Broadland Rugby Club). Participants are advised to check the course beforehand. The organizer recommends train links for travel to Great Yarmouth and Cromer. A coach transfer is available from Cromer to the 50km start in Stalham for £12 per person.

Participant Information

Entry is limited to 150 participants overall. The minimum age on race day is 20. Entry fees vary:

  • UK Athletics Member: £75 (50km) / £120 (100km)
  • Non-Member: £77 (50km) / £122 (100km)

The event states it is LGBT and non-binary friendly. Participants can enter in the Female category (females only) or the Male/Open category. The event is licensed by the Association of Running Clubs under UK Athletics rules.

The entry fee includes:

  • A finisher's medal.
  • Five checkpoints for the 100km race and three for the 50km race, plus water points.
  • Food and drinks at checkpoints.
  • A light meal and hot drinks at the finish in Cromer.
  • A GPX course file.
  • GPS tracking for safety.
  • First aid cover.
  • Prizes for the top three in the Female and Male/Open categories for each race.
