The Norfolk Marathon & Half Marathon
The Norfolk Marathon and Half Marathon take place in Cromer, featuring courses that lead runners through the coastal countryside of Norfolk. This road-based event offers two distinct distances that share a common start and finish location.
Available distances include:
- Full Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The event is held under UK Athletics Rules with specific cut-off times for each distance. Participants in the Full Marathon have a 6-hour time limit, while those in the Half Marathon must complete the course within 4 hours. The minimum age for entry is 18 years for the marathon and 17 years for the half marathon.
All participants receive chip-timing and a bespoke race medal upon completion. Race numbers may be collected on the morning of the event or posted for an additional fee. Participants also have the option to purchase a technical fabric race t-shirt or a 16-week training plan created by England Athletics coaches.
The event supports various charity partners, and runners can select a charity entry with a minimum fundraising commitment. Profits from the race are reinvested by the organizers into local sport and physical activity programs, including exercise therapy for older adults.
