2026 53rd Winery 5k & 10k
This event is a chip-timed running event at 53rd Winery in Louisa, Virginia. It offers both 5 km and 10 km race distances, with a virtual run option and walkers welcome. Points from the races count toward the 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Sippin' Series.
The course is a cross-country route around the outside of the vineyards and the winery property. The route is described as fairly flat. The 5 km consists of three laps and the 10 km consists of six laps.
Runners receive one glass of wine from 53rd Winery, a finisher’s medal, a technical event shirt when registered by the guaranteed date, and chip timing. Water is provided along the courses: five water stations on the 10 km at about miles 1, 2, 3.1, 4.1 and 5.2, and two water stations on the 5 km at about miles 1 and 2; Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are available inside the winery.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second in standard age categories. The event benefits Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
