Event overview
The Cunningham Creek Wine Run is a chip-timed 5k run/walk held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Cunningham Creek Winery and Farm Store in Palmyra, VA (3304 Ruritan Lake Rd, Palmyra, VA 22963). The course runs through the winery property and vineyards. It is mostly grass with some uneven areas and includes several turns. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online. A virtual participation option is available and packets can be shipped for virtual runners for an additional fee.
Registration, awards and rules
Race registration includes a T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib and a pour of wine. Minors may register at a discounted rate and receive a shirt, medal and bib but will not receive a wine glass or a pour of wine. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each ten-year category (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over). Packet pickup is available on race day only, beginning one hour before the event. Strollers are not allowed due to the terrain, and dogs are prohibited on site.
