Pleasants Landing Triathlon

Pleasants Landing Triathlon is held at the newly renovated Pleasants Landing Marina on Lake Anna in Bumpass, Virginia on October 10, 2026. The event includes Olympic and Sprint triathlon distances plus aquabike and relay options. The race site and finish area sit on a peninsula surrounded by water with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the west.

The swim takes place in the southeast portion of Lake Anna where water temperatures at this location are typically warmer than other areas of the lake in October; a temperature reading is posted the Thursday before the event. Swim courses are spectator friendly with buoys and sighting markers; the Olympic swim uses a triangular loop and the Sprint swim a rectangular loop.

Bike courses use local paved roads with mostly right turns. The Olympic bike is described as a two-loop rolling course around the lake; the Sprint is a single-loop rolling course with some flat sections. Run courses are out-and-back loops that pass fields, forest and the South Anna River, with finishes adjacent to the transition area.

The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. Parking at the venue is limited and some parking is off-site about 1/4 mile away.
