About the race
SPARC of Hope 5K is a community event at East End Farm in Louisa County on October 17, 2026 that raises funds for local suicide prevention efforts. The event provides a space to share stories of hope and recovery, to honor loved ones who have died by suicide, and to address stigma around mental health.
Registration offers two options: paid registration with a shirt for $25 or free registration without a shirt. Donations are encouraged. To be guaranteed a shirt, registrations must be completed by October 5. The last day for online registration is October 15 at 12pm. Drive-thru packet pickup is scheduled on October 15 from 3:30 to 6pm at Region Ten. Keynote speaker details are to be announced.
The event is open to people of all ages and allows dogs on leash. Participants may start or join a team. Event shirts are available through registration and additional SPARC merchandise is offered separately. One hundred percent of event proceeds are directed to local suicide prevention work coordinated by SPARC, a group of citizens, professionals, and partner agencies focused on reducing suicides in the area.
