Wilson Creek Frozen 50k
The Wilson Creek Frozen 50k takes place on Saturday, January 23, 2027, near Melba, Idaho. The event uses the Wilson Creek trail system, located about 30 minutes south of Nampa, and runs through seasonally cold, winter trail conditions.
Course terrain includes trails through the Reynolds Creek gorge, sections along the China Ditch, and a summit on Wilson Peak. The full 50k is composed of two looped courses that together produce substantial elevation change.
Distances offered:
- 50k, combination of the 20 mile and 10 mile loops, 6000 ft total elevation gain.
- 20 Mile, loop with 4500 ft elevation gain.
- 10 Mile, loop with 1500 ft elevation gain.
Entry options list prices for each distance, with the 50k and 20 mile priced equally and a lower fee for the 10 mile. The event is included in the ITUS and ITS series. Photographs and race history are maintained for past editions, and the event materials note a multi-year continuity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
