Indian Creek Wine Run 5K
The Indian Creek Wine Run 5K is a cross-country running event held at the Indian Creek Winery in Kuna, Idaho. The race provides a scenic route through the vineyard and winery grounds. This course consists of two laps on uneven terrain and is designed as a tour of the property rather than a performance-focused layout. Participants have the option to complete the full 5 km distance or finish after a single lap, which is classified as a 1.5 km division.
The event features chip timing with results posted online. Registered participants receive a soft ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, and a pour of wine. While the race is open to all ages, participants under 21 years of age receive a discounted entry that excludes the wine glass and alcoholic beverage.
The race includes a competitive element with age group awards for the top three finishers in several categories. These categories are divided into ten-year increments, starting from 19 and under up to 80 and over. Awards must be picked up on the day of the event from the registration table and are not shipped afterward.
The event supports a local charity partner, the Boys & Girls Club of Ada County. This organization provides after-school and summer programs for children and teens, focusing on health, fitness, and academic success.
Due to the nature of the course on a produce farm, dogs are not permitted on the premises. Strollers are allowed but are not recommended due to the uneven ground throughout the vineyard. Packet pickup is conducted on the day of the race at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
