Nampa Pumpkin Spice 5K
The Nampa Pumpkin Spice 5K is a Thanksgiving morning run and walk held on the greenbelt in Nampa, Idaho. The race follows a flat out and back course that starts in the Gem Prep School parking lot, turns right onto Iowa Avenue, then right onto the greenbelt, and reaches the turnaround at the Wilson Pathway marker WP 4.4 before returning to the school. Course markings guide participants along the route.
The event includes seasonal aid station items with pumpkin pie bites available near the halfway point and hot cocoa at the finish. All registered participants receive an event t shirt and a finishers medal. Volunteers staff course monitors, aid stations, sweepers, and the finish area.
The event is family friendly and welcomes runners, walkers, and hikers. Thanksgiving themed costumes are highly encouraged. Participants are encouraged to bring at least one canned good or other non perishable food item for donation to local Nampa food banks and pantries.
Practical notes include no dogs on the course, stroller users should stay to the right to allow safe passing, and those listening to music should keep one earbud out and volume low. Packet pickup locations include Fleet Feet Nampa, Timber and Steel, and Gem Prep School on race day. Organizers are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
