Event Overview
The Wicked Wine Run takes place at Ste. Chapelle Winery in Caldwell, Idaho. The winery offers a scenic setting with views of the Snake River Valley and Owyhee Mountain Range.
Race Details
The event offers two main participation options: a 1K Tasting Walk and a 5K Run/Walk. It is an age-restricted event; all participants and spectators must be 21 or older. An age verification process with ID is required at check-in.
Course & Amenities
The courses go through the vineyard scenery. For the 5K, there are two water stations along the route. Participants in the 1K will pass three wine sampling stations. Both distances finish at a festival area.
What's Included
Registration includes different items depending on the ticket type.
- 1K Ticket: Includes an event bib, a 2026 event shirt, four 1-ounce wine tastings (three on course, one at finish), a wine glass, and access to the after-party.
- 5K Ticket: Includes an event bib, a 2026 event shirt, a finisher medal, a full glass of wine at the finish line, and access to the after-party.
A separate spectator tasting ticket is also available for purchase on-site, which includes an etched wine glass and a bracelet for wine purchases.
Festival & Logistics
A festival with music, games, and food trucks for purchase runs alongside the event. Participants are encouraged to bring foldable chairs or blankets. Costume and dance contests are held, with prizes including event merchandise and bottles of wine. Parking on site is free. Packet pickup details are announced two weeks prior.
