Routes and race format

The ultra events are circular mixed-terrain routes around historic Stirling and surrounding hills. The 50 km and 70 km routes pass landmarks such as Wallace Monument, Battle of Bannockburn, Stirling Castle, Bridge of Allan, Cambuskenneth Abbey, the River Forth, the Ochil Hills and nearby reservoirs. The 10 km is described as a flat out-and-back route alongside the River Forth and over the Old Stirling Bridge. The 1 mile fun run is a traffic-free flat course that shares the same start and finish area.

Ultra events offer solo or relay teams of three or six, with three or six stage changeovers and five aid stations. The overall cut-off time for ultra events is 14 hours. Support and race items include aid stations, GPS live tracking for ultras, chip timing for the 10 km, finishers medals, race mementos and finish-line catering. Mandatory kit is required for ultras; an athlete guide will detail the kit list. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
