Cumbernauld 10K
The Cumbernauld 10K is a family community running event at Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld on 13th September 2026. The event is delivered by Active & Creative Communities within North Lanarkshire Council under the RUN NL brand and runs in partnership with a Suicide Prevention initiative.
Alongside the main 10K race there are several additional events and a charity walk:
- 10K - ages 15+
- 5K - ages 12+, chip timed, approximately 5k (unmeasured)
- 1K - ages 7+, chip timed, approximately 1k (unmeasured)
- 400m Dash - ages 6+
- Toddler dash - pre-school age
- Victory Mile Walk - in partnership with Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland
All participants receive fruit, water, cereal bars, a race t-shirt, a finisher medal and a runner race pack. An Activity Fun Zone runs throughout the day with bouncy castles and "come and try sport" activities for families. Massage therapy sessions are available free to participants for warm up and warm down.
