Event Overview
Who You Going To Call? - Northampton is a timed challenge event held at Northampton Active. Participants have a 7-hour time limit to complete as many laps as they choose. The course is situated around the Northampton Washlands and consists of well-maintained paths and trails.
The event uses a lap-based system where a single full lap is approximately 4.37 miles (7 km). Depending on course conditions, this may be adjusted to a 3.28-mile loop. Participants are considered official finishers by completing at least 5 km. The format allows runners and walkers to determine their own distance, with specific lap counts corresponding to traditional race milestones:
- 5 km (minimum distance)
- 10 km
- Half Marathon (3 laps)
- Marathon (6 laps)
- Ultra / 50 km (7 or more laps)
Facilities and Support
The event features a central aid station at the start and finish of each lap, providing water along with a variety of sweet and savoury snacks, including vegan options. The venue provides access to toilets, though there are no dedicated changing rooms or showers. A non-secure bag drop area is available for participants to store belongings during the challenge.
Participant Recognition
All finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag, which includes a selection of snacks. Runners who complete a Half Marathon distance or further are eligible for specific distance pins to attach to their medal ribbon. Special personalized race numbers are available for those celebrating milestone runs, such as a 50th or 100th marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
