About the race
Elephant Challenge takes place at Salcey Forest, a Forestry England site near Northampton (NN7 2HX). This 6-hour, multi-lap event centers on a 3.5-mile off-road loop through the forest, allowing participants to choose distance—from 3 laps for a half marathon to 7 for a marathon or many more within the time limit and accessible to runners of all abilities. The route runs on paths of crushed stone and forest floor, with mud possible in wet weather; dry days suit road shoes, while trail footwear can help when damp.
