Twin Lakes 20
The Twin Lakes 20 takes place in the Milton Keynes countryside, offering a course that circles two lakes and follows the River Ouzel and the Grand Union Canal. This event serves as a preparation race for participants training for spring marathons or half-marathons. The route is traffic-free and spans across a multi-terrain landscape. Approximately 80% of the course is situated on cycle paths, with the remaining sections consisting of gravel paths and canal towpaths.
Participants can choose from two specific distances:
- 10 miles
- 20 miles
The event is hosted at Willen Lake, with the event village accessible via the what3words address postings.shop.videos. The race is open to individuals aged 17 and over for the 10-mile distance, while the 20-mile distance requires participants to be at least 18 years old on the day of the race. Registration includes a t-shirt and a medal for finishers. Participants who register for the 20-mile distance but complete only 10 miles on the day are still eligible to receive these items.
The venue is accessible by car via the M1 at Junction 14, by local bus services from Milton Keynes centre, or by cycling via the local Redway network. The event also serves as a fundraising opportunity for Willen Hospice. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
