TWIN LAKES 20 is a scenic, fast and flat road race held in the Milton Keynes area on Sunday 21 March 2027. The event offers two distance options and uses traffic-free sections through local countryside and canal-side paths.

The course uses a two-lap format. The first 10-mile lap remains unchanged and includes a picturesque section along the Grand Union Canal that has been part of the event since 2020. For 2027 the second lap for 20-mile runners follows a revised route between Simpson and Woughton-on-the-Green that avoids approximately 1.5 miles of narrow canal towpath. This rerouting creates a more spacious section with reduced congestion and more room for overtaking while retaining the original first lap.

The event is presented as preparation for spring half or full marathons and is noted for being traffic free. Participants entered in the 20-mile distance who run only 10 miles on race day still receive the event tee and medal.
