Petzl Night Trails - Salcey Forest
The Petzl Night Trails 10K at Salcey Forest is a unique night trail running event held near Northampton. Participants run a fully marked, two-lap 10K course on crushed stone paths through the flat but occasionally slippery forest terrain. Runners must use a head or chest torch to navigate the dark trails, with Petzl providing top-quality head torches to test.
The event welcomes canicross runners, who start 10 minutes ahead of the main field. Facilities include parking (with a discounted fee), a café, and toilets. The race offers biodegradable cups and hot drinks, and supports Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
