Wendelville Fire Company 29th Annual Harvest Moon Run
Wendelville Fire Company stages the 29th Annual Harvest Moon Run on September 9 in the Town of Pendleton at 7340 Campbell Boulevard. The event uses a fast, shady course along the Erie Canal and is USATF-Certified Course NY13103JG. The race start is located approximately 0.3 miles south of WFC Hall #1; participants are asked to park at Hall #1 and walk south over the bridge to the start line.
Distances and events include:
- 5K run
- 2 Mile fun walk
- 500 yards kids race
Registration fees are stated as $30 for pre-registration for the 5K and 2 Mile walk, $35 for race day registration for those events, $10 for the kids race, and $10 for the post-race party for non-racers. Packet pickup is at WFC Hall #1, 7340 Campbell Blvd., on Tuesday, September 8 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9 starting at 4:00 PM.
Post-race provisions include a free T-shirt, trophies for overall male and female winners and for age groups (ages 3-9 and five year increments thereafter), plus food, door prizes, and a post-race party option for non-racers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
